Magazine Ads

Depending on your type of business and your target audience, you may decide that you need to invest some marketing dollars into advertising in print media such as magazines and newspapers.  This is a very tricky feat because you don't want your ad to be overlooked or out of place.  The best thing you can do is research previous issues of the magazine that you want to be advertising in, pick out the keys spots that you think your ad will perform the best in, and then decide on what size of ad and the type of imagery you want.

Too much text in an ad never looks good.  You want to go with a design that 'pops' and keeps the reader from flipping the page until after they have read your entire ad.  Put enough text in the ad to get the message across, and leave enough out to keep the reader's imagination intrigued.

There's no easy way to say this, but the more money you spend on your ad, the more readers you are going to reach and potentially turn into sales or customers.  If you opt to spend as little as possible, you will end up with a tiny piece of unwanted real estate at the back of the magazine, and nobody is going to take you seriously!
